At the weekend, we held a two-day workshop with students from our English-language Sustainable Management - Water and Energy course.
The goal was to generate an idea of what a VR scenario should look like in which future students can independently acquire the technical skills to dimension seawater desalination plants.
The students were able to draw on three lecture units on the topic and an existing VR scenario as a basis. On the first day, the students were introduced to the topic of critical thinking by Dr. Stella Kanatouri (DLR). They were able to pitch their ideas at the beginning of the second day. We then implemented the Lego® Serious Play® method.
The students were “blown away” by the method and would like us to use it more often in teaching in the future. Finally, my VR team presented prototypes that they had created based on the students' ideas.
We keep pushing!
