Developing a Participatory Mangrove Ecosystem Restoration Model as a Nature-Based Solution to Climate Change (MERS)

GIS Knowledge Platform and Database on Mangroves in Egypt

In partnership with the American University in Cairo, Center for Applied Research on Environment and Sustainability, MERS Project is looking for a GIS Specialist to develop a GIS-based knowledge platform on mangrove forests, implement different models/interpretations for Mangrove forestation in given locations. The objective of the MERS project is to adopt a nature-based solution to address climate change challenges and enhance the environmental, social, and economic resilience of the local communities through the restoration and rehabilitation of mangrove ecosystems in Egypt.
